Two totally different platforms, for two totally different end-users. i had several inopportune fte’s with match (black hills) ammo and until i changed the scope and the trigger i found the accuracy to be nothing special. the mk11 has a spotty reputation for reliability and longevity. if you don’t know about this, don’t take my word for it. ask around. in the manual it emphasizes a ridiculously low number of rounds to be fired each day, something like 20-30. a mk11 is not $8k, i got mine new from mstn for $6k which was msrp, $2k of that is probably accessories (leupold mk4, kac rings, kac f/r buis, bipod, kac ris, etc), so you’re looking at a $4k rifle. a well built lrb based M1A Accessories will run you between $2.5-$3.5k depending on the builder and the stock you choose. the comparison between the mk11 and the lrb M1A Accessories is valid and is absolutely not apples to oranges, a mk11 is the same as any sr-25 of that vintage but with a trick 20" obermeyer barrel and a pelican case full of accessories. the trigger is the kac 2 stage and the bolt is off the shelf. as i previously mentioned i like ar-10′s (the lmt .308 is calling my name). but for a long lasting battle rifle i give it to the m1a. i like ar-10′s although they can be finicky with mags. i liked the hk91 until i saw what it did to my brass and realized how nose heavy it was. fal is a work horse but i’d prefer a better trigger and a more thought out sight arrangement. again, just my 5 cents. 6/27/2010 2:51:16 PM With the can, mags and everything else, mine was closer to 8k than 6k. You can’t understand why there would be a limit on how many rounds that can/should be fired through a weapon like this? –

I dont think the one from Bravo comes with the sling swivel ends like the one from Larue. I think that is the price difference.

I have the LaRue-Viking padded sling and the difference is that the LaRue Tactical comes with sewn in push button QD sling swivels, the VTAC slings doesn’t come with sling swivels, you have to buy them separately.

Seriuosly…..it felt just fine.

I have been a major girly girl when it comes to tactical shotgun recoil. That was one of the reasons I would think I need a tactical shotgun, then sell it because I never would shoot it due to recoil. I recently purchased a NEF Pardner pump with 18.5″ barrel. the first time I shot it, I decided that my biggest recoil issue was more about the pain im my cheek/face then was I was feeling at the shoulder. Once I learned to NOT smash my cheek into the stock, things went way better. I added limbsaver to the 870 clone and it shoots like a kitten with light loads, and isn’t bad with slugs.

This place is very busy at this time, of the year, due to hunting season. Here, in Canada, a lot of people shoots with muzzle breaks. So, the fire lane is very noisy. No better trial conditions. I am professional gunsmith since 25 years, and, I tried ( and hated, some times…) a lot of electronic ear muffs: but, sincerely, I never wore one so comfortable and efficient. I am very impressed by the electronic board: the ”cut and release” time is very, very short. So short that I feel absolutely no ”click” or ”pump” effect. In fact, I feel …no effect! It seemed to me that everybody shoots 22LR!!! (Except the blast….of course.) Excellent , really. Nicholas Encontre Armurier – Gunsmith Repeat customer of Pro-Ears. Once again I want to thank you for your exemplary customer service as you have confirmed my feelings of being a repeat customer of Pro-Ears. – T. VINCI Your hard work and diligence is extremely appreciated Thank you so much for returning my Pro Ears D2s in excellent working order. I’m going to wear them at the Factory Nationals and at the World Shoot in South Africa. Your hard work and diligence is extremely appreciated. – B. BOHZ I will certainly tell other shooters about your service I got my re-furbished Pro-Ears back this Friday. I really appreciate the extra effort you put into getting the items in and out quickly and appreciate the warranty service that I was not expecting. Money is tight, but when I go to the gun range and people see something that really works and they like it, they may very easily decide to buy it. I received the special Pro Ears Model that you made for me today. It is exactly what I needed. Sound origins are pinpointed instantly.

My mini-maglite with Nite Eyez LED is working with batteries from my digital camera- full brightness- or at least it looks that way- from batteries that are dead I noticed the same thing with a big D maglite with the OEM conversion. I always recommend that people buy LED for general utility now. I still like incandesent for my SureFire, but I here that the high-end LEDs are awsome. My only question for those SureFire LED’s is how well do the carry compare to incandesent? I have found that LEDs carry less and can be less intense. With the cheap lgihts, filters knock down LED really good (makes a good ambient light for in the dark map reading or not bugging other folks who may be sleeping. I picked up a TacStar extension tube, and I’ve ordered a Nordic Follower. I really do not like the Surefire foreend, and other suggestions for an M2? I can not seem to find anything on the googles. No one outside of Arfcom or perhaps some of the three gun forums even knows about this topic. Hell, I bought an Benelli M2 Accessories this summer and the gun store I purchased it from installed a Tac Star extension while I waited. When I found out about this 922 mumbo jumbo I called the store back and ran it by them. They claim to have sold hundreds of Benelli’s over the years in this configuration and have a full time ATF agent on staff. They argued with me that because the Tac Star was a US part, it held no bearing on 922… That said, nobody seems to care. I hope so! I’m still going to put a Nordic Follower in, and what ever other US made parts that I can just to be safe. A magazine extension is not considered a "part" under 922r. StrangerDanger 2/24/2011 10:20:42 PM Some Misinfo to correct. MesaTactical is not making the fire control parts for the M4. Carriercomp is. He’s making safety certified US hammers and disconnectors. Magazine extensions do not count towards parts compliance. You must replace the entire tube with a US production unit. The SideArmor rail system does not count towards compliance. It doesn’t replace the factory forearm.
